The Tragedy of Carmen

Flushing Town Hall Space Grantee Queens Opera Theatre presents a classic from the world stage, Peter Brook's modern 90-minute adaptation of Bizet’s beloved story, Carmen—a tale of doomed love and violent passion, with popular and familiar music.

Tickets: $16/$10 Members & Student (Teens 13-19 free with ID)

The Gift of the Magi

Celebrating the holiday season, Flushing Town Hall Space Grantee Queens Opera Theatre presents "The Gift of the Magi", composed by Peter Ekstrom. The classic O. Henry short story, set to music and lyrics, tells the story of a young couple living in New York City on Christmas Eve 1905. They loved each other so much that they each sold their most prized possession to buy the other a Christmas present. Their special gifts bring a touching reaffirmation of their unselfish love.

Queens Opera Theatre Fundraiser 11/9/2017

Please join us for a fundraiser to celebrate and support the inaugural production of Queens Opera Theatre. The event will take place at the site where O. Henry wrote the short story, The Gift of The Magi, from the second booth on the right in Pete's Tavern, the oldest continuously operating restaurant and bar in New York City.

Passed Hors D'oeuvres and open bar (beer & wine) will be included, along with a Silent Auction and an opportunity to meet the composer, Peter Ekstrom.
